EvoDerma LUMI™ was designed with an added level of protection: a Skin Tone Sensor that prevents the device from emitting a light pulse on skin tones that are too dark or tanned for safe treatment. LUMI™ was also designed so that the optical lens is always at a safe distance from the skin. Light-based hair removal should not be used on skin that is tanned or naturally dark. The Skin Tone Chart featured above will help determine if your skin tone is appropriate for treatment.

LUMI™, Designed to Protect your Eyes.

The Applicator on LUMI™ was designed with an additional safety feature for eye protection that prevents the Applicator from emitting a light pulse into open air. The safety switch is only activated when the Applicator tip is in direct contact with surface of your skin. EvoDerma recommends that you wear the included IPL Protective Eyewear when using the device, to ensure proper protection.
